Princeton Technology is a professional IC design company. The manufacturing of its products is outsourced to qualified foundries, and its primary workplaces consist of offices and R&D laboratories. Therefore, the Company’s internal energy consumption mainly derives from general office needs such as air conditioning, computer equipment, and lighting, with no significant additional sources of energy usage.
In response to the global trend toward carbon footprint reduction, the Company has formulated short-, medium-, and long-term plans and established corresponding energy-saving and carbon reduction measures. Energy conservation initiatives and performance targets have been set for various office facilities, and energy-saving strategies appropriate to the Company’s industry characteristics have been developed. These efforts align with the Company’s energy management policies and vision, aiming to create an environmentally friendly and green workplace for employees.
- Short-term Target (2023)
⌕ More than 40% of the lighting fixtures in the Taipei office were replaced with energy-efficient LED panel lights, resulting in an annual reduction of approximately 3,079 kgCO₂e in carbon emissions.
⌕ Employees are encouraged to set office air conditioning systems at an appropriate temperature of 25°C.
⌕ During lunch breaks and off-peak hours after work, lighting in common areas is reduced to conserve energy.
⌕ The chiller system is set to operate on an automatic timed schedule to optimize energy savings.⚼
- Mid-term Target (2024–2026)
⌕ The proportion of LED energy-saving panel lights in the Taipei office is increasing year by year, and it is expected that by 2024, LED lighting will account for over 90% of the total.
⌕ Achieve external certification for the ISO 14064-1 greenhouse gas inventory.
⌕ Establish a low-carbon electric scooter charging station at PTC Innovation & Intelligence (Chengdu) parking lot.
